Most apps are roach motels

Sign up for most consumer health apps and your data goes in but never comes out. There’s no export, or the export is a useless PDF dump, or it’s buried behind a support ticket. When the app gets acquired, shut down, or pivots to something you didn’t sign up for, your years of data are stranded. Caregiver workspaces are a multi-year commitment — the only acceptable answer is "your data is yours, ready to leave with you."

From workspace settings, "Download workspace archive" produces a ZIP containing: a JSON dump of every entity (members, appointments, medications, lab results, notes, summaries, etc. — the full schema), a human-readable Markdown summary of the workspace you can print, and the original uploaded documents indexed in the JSON. For deletion: email info@thrive.me and we wipe the workspace from the primary database within 24 hours and from backups within 30 days. A self-service delete button is on the near-term roadmap so future-you doesn't have to send an email at all.

Switching apps you didn’t expect

Suppose three years from now another product comes along that fits your family better. You download the archive (~50MB for an active workspace), import the JSON into the new product, and email us to delete the Kintaria workspace. The medical history, the lab trends, the documents — all yours, all portable. Worst case the new product is worse and you come back; the workspace export is your insurance policy.
