SMS Policy
This page describes how Kintaria sends and receives text messages, what they're for, how often they arrive, and how to stop them. It satisfies Twilio's A2P 10DLC registration requirements and is the public link we point carriers to when they ask “what's this sender doing?”
What we use SMS for
Kintaria sends text messages for exactly one reason today: two-step sign-in codes. When you turn on text-code sign-in in Security settings and then sign in, you'll get a 6-digit code by text. You type it in to finish signing in. That's the entire SMS surface — no marketing, no newsletters, no promotional content, ever.
We may also send transactional alerts in the future (urgent care-related notifications you've explicitly opted in to per family member). Those require a separate opt-in inside the workspace, never enabled by default, and will appear on this page before they ship.
How you opt in
You opt in by entering your phone number in Security → “Text me codes” at my.thrive.me/settings/mfa and confirming the verification code we send to that number. Saving the verified factor is your explicit consent to receive sign-in codes from Kintaria at that phone number going forward.
You can also see the opt-in language directly inside the app:
“Text me codes — Easiest option. You get a 6-digit code by text whenever you sign in. Standard text-message rates apply.”
Frequency
One text per sign-in attempt to your account. There is no automated or marketing cadence — texts are tied 1:1 to your interactions. Typical caregivers see 1–4 codes per week. If your code doesn't arrive, requesting a new one from the sign-in challenge page sends a second text.
Rates
Message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier. Kintaria does not charge you for the texts themselves — your carrier's rates govern.
How to stop receiving texts
Two ways:
- Reply STOP to any Kintaria code text to unsubscribe immediately. Standard carrier-level opt-out keywords (STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT) all work.
- Remove the factor in Security settings. Sign in, open Security, click “remove” next to the text-codes factor.
If you reply STOP and then later want to re-enroll, you'll need to reply START first, then re-add the number in Security settings.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any Kintaria text for an automated response with our support contact. Or email info@thrive.me directly. Real humans answer within a business day.
Who sees your phone number
- Twilio (our SMS provider) — receives the number so it can send the code. Subject to Twilio's privacy policy.
- Supabase (our auth platform) — stores the verified phone number as part of your MFA factor record. Subject to Supabase's privacy policy.
- No one else. Other workspace members never see your phone number. Kintaria staff cannot read it in the normal course of operations. We never sell, share, or transfer it to advertisers or third parties.
